We’re excited to welcome Stargate Hydrogen as the newest member of the Estonian Cleantech Association! Founded in 2021, Stargate is on a mission to make green hydrogen affordable and accessible for hard-to-decarbonize industries such as steel, fertilizers, and chemicals. With a focus on increasing electrolyser efficiency and driving down production costs, Stargate has developed a cutting-edge solution using novel ceramic catalysts and a patented stack design.
CEO of Stargate Hydrogen Marko Virkebau comments: "We decided to join the Estonian Cleantech Association in order to connect more closely with the wider cleantech ecosystem and contribute to creating synergies between cross-border green energy projects."
Stargate's electrolysers have been independently tested and validated by leading research institutions ZSW and Fraunhofer, confirming their reliability and cost-effectiveness. Backed by over €50 million in funding from leading investors and recognized with IPCEI (Important Projects of Common European Interest) status, Stargate is now scaling production to 140 MW annually at its state-of-the-art facility.
The company serves a growing customer base across Europe, Turkey, and India, including Fortum, Utilitas, ABB, and Rockfin. Each client benefits not only from Stargate's high-performance technology but also from extensive engineering support that ensures seamless integration and long-term operational success.
Welcome on board!
